Bio
Hi! My name is Rachel DeFelice. I am a daughter, wife, high school math teacher, food lover, and art beginner. I started this blog after I was in a rollover car accident on May 1, 2015. What should have been a nerdy weekend of math fun, turned into a life change.
Long story short, I broke the T12 vertebrae in my back, bruised my lungs, and am diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury. I continue to struggle with PTSD from the crash, but not to worry... I continue to heal. After the accident, I started to do some art therapy and this seemed to help. I also realized that I could use this second chance at life to share what I am most passionate about... the Lord. I am a believer in miracles and that this life I live is for a greater purpose. This verse helped me more than anything after the accident: "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my sheild and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." Psalm 18:2
Although the accident isn't anything I would wish for, even for my worst enemy, it changed my life for good. And, through the recommendations of friends and an amazing counselor, I started this blog to document things I love - like - think are fun. I hope you are inspired by my posts. I hope that you find peace in difficult times, like I did, through the one place where everlasting peace is found, in Jesus Christ.

This is back when I was weaning out of my TLSO brace. During a hot summer, this was a real treat to be able to start taking it off. You can imagine, plastic doesn't breathe very well... and man was it hot wearing it.
